Dan Antopolski burst onto the comedy scene in 1998, clinching the BBC New Comedy Award and reaching the finals of both the Daily Telegraph Open Mic Award and Channel 4’s So You Think You’re Funny. In the years that followed, he quickly established himself as one of the most original voices in comedy, earning a Perrier Best Newcomer nomination at the Edinburgh Festival for his debut hour Second Coming. He went on to receive further Perrier Award nominations for his solo show Antopolski 2000 and for the acclaimed sketch show Lee Mack’s New Bits, alongside Lee Mack and Catherine Tate.
Dan has toured extensively across the UK and Europe, and has been a hit at major international festivals, including Montreal’s Just For Laughs and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He was part of the sketch group Jigsaw, who became series regulars on BBC Three’s Live at the Electric and recorded two successful series for Radio 4. Younger audiences will recognise Dan as the title character in CBBC’s The Dare Devil, and film fans may have spotted him playing Jesus in The Da Vinci Code. More recently, he has appeared in Paddington 2 and the BBC’s Good Omens.
