Biography

Craig Campbell is a standout figure in the world of stand-up comedy, renowned for his magnetic presence and inventive performances. With appearances on esteemed shows like Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Russell Howard’s Good News, and Dave’s One Night Stand, Campbell has solidified his status as one of the most charismatic comedians on the circuit.

In August of last year, Campbell debuted his new show, “Craig Campbell’s Thrilling Mic Hunt,” to a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Festival. The success of the show led to a nationwide tour in November and December, with an additional 31 dates added in the Spring of 2014. Prior to this, Campbell recorded a DVD of his live show, “Craig Campbell Live,” at the prestigious London Bloomsbury Theatre, further showcasing his comedic prowess.

Not one to shy away from unique challenges, Campbell is set to perform as part of the world’s highest comedy gig, Stand Up on Everest, at Mount Everest Base Camp in October 2014. This adventurous endeavor, in aid of the charity Save the Children, will see Campbell joined by fellow comedians and eager fans on a grueling nine-day trek into the Nepal Himalaya.

Campbell’s comedic journey has been diverse, from supporting Frankie Boyle on his national tour to his early days as part of the comedy trio The Dinks. His versatility was further highlighted in 2008 when he wrote and performed his one-man play, “Mr. Eyetwister,” showcasing his acting talents and storytelling abilities.

Originally from Canada, Campbell has graced screens both in his home country and in the UK, appearing on shows like “Just For Laughs” and “Mountain Madness,” and serving as the presenter of Sky One’s hit series “From Wimps to Warriors.” Since settling in Devon, UK, Campbell’s comedic talents have been featured on various platforms, including Comedy Cuts (ITV2), Mitch Benn’s Musical Comedy Show (BBC Radio 4), and Comedy Shuffle (BBC Three).
