Dan Antopolski burst onto the comedy scene in 1998 with an explosive debut, clinching the BBC New Comedy Award and landing spots as a finalist in prestigious competitions like the Daily Telegraph Open Mic Award and Channel 4’s So You Think You’re Funny. In the following years, his meteoric rise continued with nominations for the Perrier Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Festival, showcasing his debut hour “Second Coming” and earning further acclaim with solo shows like “Antopolski 2000” and the sketch show “Lee Mack’s New Bits,” alongside Lee Mack and Catherine Tate.
With a knack for comedy that transcends borders, Dan has graced stages across the UK, Europe, and international festivals like Just For Laughs in Montreal and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. As a member of the acclaimed sketch group Jigsaw, Dan became a regular face on Live at the Electric (BBC3) and contributed to two series for Radio 4. His versatility extends to screen roles, where younger viewers may recognize him as the titular character in CBBC’s The Dare Devil and his portrayal of Jesus in the blockbuster film The Da Vinci Code. More recently, he showcased his talent in films like Paddington 2 and on television in Good Omens (BBC).
