The 17 Port & Maritime Regiment RLC is a specialized unit within the Royal Logistic Corps (RLC), based at McMullen Barracks in Marchwood, near Southampton. As the British Army’s sole provider of specialist port and maritime capabilities, the regiment plays a vital role in global military logistics. Its personnel are experts in facilitating the movement of military supplies, vehicles, and equipment through seaports, ensuring that the UK Armed Forces maintain a logistical advantage during operations worldwide.
One of the regiment’s core functions is providing support for amphibious and maritime logistics.
